What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Pioneer CS-R300

A new high-performance speaker system featuring outstanding transient characteristics, linear response, low distortion and wide dispersion.
The CS-R300 was created to offer arich, new sound experience, distinguished by new sound dynamics and superb transient characteristics.each component part of the system was chosen to match perfectly with other components, begining with the cone paper material and reaching out to the all-important crossover networks. The system was tested for hundreds of hours under severe laboraory conditions for measurement of all physical and performance characteristics.
The result of this research and testing are characteristics that go well beyond the norm of conventional ssystems in such areas as frequency range, directionality, transient characteistics, harmonics distortion and intermodulation distortion -  all the vital factors for sound quality in any speaker system.
You'll sense the improved sound quality the first time you sit to listen to the CS-R300. the bass response is rich, full and transient. The mid and high ranges are sharp, crisp, alive. All in all, a perfect achievement in sound for the sound perfectionist.
