What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Sony TA-1130

SYSTEM: All silicon-transistor stereo integrated amplifier
MAIN section: Direct output coupling, quasi-complementary
symmetry circuit (SEPP, OTL)
PRE section: Direct coupling equalizer amp, capacitor coupled flat
and tone control amp, combined NF type and CR type tone control.
Integrated pre and power amplifier in studio quality for discerning hi-fi friends. The high standard and the available output power make, this device is also suitable for professional use.

FEATURES: Differential amplifier with speaker outputs coupled directly-without capacitors provide wide frequency response, lowest distortion, High damping factor, large power output.
Connections for: Two turntables, tape recorder, tuner, three Auxiliary (AUX), two speaker pairs Precise tone control through each stage a 11 deep and height controller. Separate switchable low and height filter. Separable pre and power amplifiers and distribution to the building of multichannel systems with output from the preamp and connection for additional power amplifier.
Additional 5 pin DIN socket on the back.
Headphone jack and auxiliary input 3 on the front panel.
Loudness switch to aurally-volume scheme
